The Banjo Hut Set Up Procedure

Most Internet Instrument Dealers Do Not Do This Banjo Setup So Beware.

Banjos need to be properly setup, tuned and played to make sure the Banjo
will play and sound the best as possible for your full enjoyment.

Each Banjo Will Be Setup By A Professional Setup Person As Follows

Unpackaged from original box and inspected for breakage, scratches and other flaws.

Resonator is then removed from banjo.
Neck is straightened and tighten up against rim to eliminate neck movement.

All the brackets that hold the tension on the head
are properly tightened with a precise torque wrench,
  to get the best vibration from your new banjo.

The correct head tension will not be the same on all banjos.
We have setup a lot of banjo and know the proper tension for each
model we sell.
(this step is very important to get the best possible sound from each banjo)

Bridge is placed at proper location for correct intonation.

String height is check and adjusted
Coordinator rods, truss rods, usually need adjustment.
Nut may also need removal and filing to lower or raise height
to proper playing height

Banjo is then brought in to tune and checked up & down the neck
for buzzing and proper tone.
(this might require more neck, fret, bridge and nut adjustment)

Banjo is then set in stand and rested for at least 2 hours sometimes overnight.

Banjo is then rechecked and tuned again
Before it is carefully packed (we do this right)

With the proper setup your banjo will give you many years of enjoyment
